Chinook RV launched a YouTube channel to share RV walkthroughs and tutorials.
The RV manufacturer released its first RV tour video Friday.
The video featured Seth Buchheit, Chinook RV’s factory representative, touring the manufacturer’s Summit SS 360.
According to Buchheit, the social media channel will be a resource for dealers and consumers. Buchheit said one project goal is to educate consumers on features and appliances in Chinook RVs. As more videos appear on the channel, Buchheit said it will be a tool for dealers to use with consumers to visualize a Chinook RV motorhome when one is not in stock.
“We want to show the products to a wider range of people,” Buchheit said. “I know a lot of our buyers are on YouTube, collecting information before they go to the dealer.”
Chinook RV manufactured about 60 RVs this year, Buchheit said, and plans to increase manufacturing more than 40% in 2024.
The company has less than 60 employees. Chinook RV has three brands with three different floorplans.
As manufacturing numbers increase, YouTube channel content will grow. Buchheit said a goal is to post weekly videos to the channel. He said collaboration with suppliers will appear through RV appliance tutorials.
Buchheit said the company would like to expand its reach on Instagram and LinkedIn as well.
