Venture Co-Op is expanding its RV aftermarket representation with the addition of Dennis Boxdorfer, who will bring more dealer coverage to North America.

The co-operative, launched in February 2020, includes eight independent regional reps with more than 200 years’ combined industry experience in dealer-level sales, founding member Rob Rapose said.

The team officially accepted Boxdorfer on April 30. His covered territories include Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska, in addition to splitting Iowa with fellow team member Georgiann Voissem, owner of Inspired Rep. His coverage includes companies such as Zamp Solar and safety camera supplier Vision Works.

“I am really excited, and very appreciative of the Venture team members to vote me into the group,” Boxdorfer said. “I am looking forward to the future, helping them grow the co-op and grow my business.”

Boxdorfer is owner and managing member of his independent agency, Explorer Outdoors LLC. He “dipped a toe” into the RV industry as a national sales manager with a supplier serving OEM and industrial segments, including the RV market. Earlier in his career, Boxdorfer worked in construction and mining equipment sales. He established his first business, Denco Construction Services, before the 2008 recession, and has sales experience going back to the ’80s.

Boxdorfer was led to Venture Co-Op after the COVID-19 pandemic caused staff changes at his prior company. He learned of the group from an RV News article, he said.

“I was sitting there figuring out what I wanted to do, and I like the RV industry,” said Boxdorfer, a camper and owner of three RV units, “then I see Venture Co-Op and Rob Rapose. I went to the Venture website and emailed them. Low and behold, Rob called me back.”

Boxdorfer said he was voted into the group approximately two months after an initial conversation with Rapose. He said the move was a piece of a business plan he was putting together.

“It is being able to grow another business,” Boxdorfer said. “Business is tough, but there is no better feeling of confidence than getting started and growing.

“This will be my second time around doing this,” he said of his agency, Explorer Outdoors. “Anytime you do something like this, it is a risk. It is a gamble. But you go with your instincts and make the best of it.”

Boxdorfer said he feels good about the year.

“The RV industry is absolutely on fire,” Boxdorfer said. “This energy is going to continue for a while.”
