The Canadian RV industry posted strong results in 2024, according to a new report from the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA).

CRVA’s fourth quarter wholesale shipments report found a 15.9% increase in wholesale RV shipments from 2023. In all, RV wholesale shipments totaled 30,338 in 2024, compared with 26,171 in 2023.

The increase grew in the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter of 2024, CRVA registered 7,478 units wholesale RV shipments, up 18.6% compared with 6,303 in 2023.

CRVA president Shane Devenish attributed the increase in wholesale shipments “to rebounding from a down year in 2023, when Canadian dealers were working to decrease their aged inventory accumulated post-Covid.”

Devenish said as the Canadian RV industry faces challenges posed by trade uncertainties, CRVA remains hopeful the government will prioritize restoring the longstanding relationship between Canada and the U.S.

“For decades, the recreational vehicle industry in Canada and the United States has enjoyed a strong and mutually beneficial relationship,” Devenish said. “The RV sector, in particular, has thrived under this cooperation, ensuring that high-quality products reach consumers and dealers in both countries efficiently and competitively. We believe a return to fair and reciprocal trade will continue to benefit manufacturers, dealers and consumers on both sides of the border.”
