A renovated 2016 Thor Quantum Type C motorhome, wrapped in Cummins’ “Onan” green, will travel the nation this year.
The power supplier is teaming up with RV renovator Cortni Armstrong. Armstrong is the founder of The Flipping Nomad, an RV renovating company. She has worked with RV suppliers over the years. Now the renovator is transforming an RV through a Cummins partnership.
The RV will include Cummins’ new Onan QG 4000I RV generator launching in spring 2024. Renovations will include repainting the interior and installing new floors, cabinets, walls backsplash and upholstery.
According to Cummins Marketing Manager Kristin Howard, Cummins united with Flipping Nomad to boost consumer awareness through social media. The Flipping Nomad has around 144,000 followers on Instagram. Armstrong posted a video introducing the Cummins collaboration in February.
Cummins saw “an opportunity to remind RVers we are here for them, and we are a power source to give them more freedom on the road,” Howard said. “An Onan generator allows RVers to camp wherever they want, and they do not have to be tied down by shorepower.”
Once complete, the RV will make its debut at the Total Eclipse Camping Rally at the Starry Night RV Resort in Fort Worth, Texas April 4-9.
Cummins is giving its sales and marketing team members the option to camp with the renovated motorhome at Harvest Hosts campsites. Employees will create social media content during their trips to share on Cummins’ Facebook and Instagram pages.
The supplier aims to launch at least 10-12 trips between May and September.
