For Imperial Outdoors consumers, RVing does not stop when the snow swirls and ice sheets blanket the roads.
The manufacturer, nestled in Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin, serves a consumer base partaking in RV adventures throughout the year with its X145 and X195 travel trailers. The products provide a four-season capability that differentiates the manufacturer.
Many RVers are venturing into winter camping. The Dyrt’s 2024 Camping Report found one-third of consumers camp in the winter.
The Midwest manufacturer began crafting ice houses 15 years ago. With knowledge of extreme climates, Imperial turned its focus to four-season travel trailers. Imperial Outdoors Sales Manager Steve Geary said with a large northern audience, the manufacturer felt a four-season RV was worth pursuing.
“It just gives them more versatility for the rest of the year, too,” Geary said, “If it is -40 degrees Fahrenheit at night, you are not going to worry about it.”
The RVs appeared at all four Overland Expos in the last year. Geary said their four-season capability received various reviews. Although some were not as interested, others expressed excitement. Geary said many Imperial consumers travel to Montana and Alaska.
Geary said, “We really help people get to places that they cannot go on a normal RV….You can really kind of stay for days and days and days out in the middle of nowhere.”
The company operates with 25 employees and works with 12 dealers.
“Our goal is to always help our customers have the best possible experience…,” Geary said, “beyond the typical camping experience.”
