Underneath a white tent in Florida, clothing, school supplies and hygiene products were packed into more than 2,000 packages to ship to local Boys and Girls Clubs. In another area, volunteers crafted dog toys to send to a humane shelter.
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, over 120 volunteers attended Lippert’s seRV With Purpose event at the Jayco Jubilee in Tampa, Florida.
Lippert President and CEO Jason Lippert said, “Caring about people is one of our core values. The volunteerism we witnessed in Tampa is a result of team members across the RV industry living out that core value together as a part of seRV.”
Jayco packed the Tampa RV SuperShow, Jan. 17-21, with events such as the volunteer gathering during its first Jayco Jubilee. The week-long affair assembled Jayco consumers, ambassadors and team members.
Jayco Customer Experience Specialist Brittany Niezgodski said, “Our focus on this meet-up was nothing more than building relationships with our owners and encouraging them to make friendships with each other.”
Activities filled the week, including bingo, and raffles, with food trucks available to feed attendees. Jayco partnered with various suppliers such as Lippert to put on events.
Niezgodski said, “Partnering with Lippert seRV With Purpose provided a volunteer opportunity for RV owners to give back to the community.”
Two additional seRV events commenced off-site during the SuperShow. More than 60 RVers volunteered at Feeding Tampa Bay, a nonprofit association providing food assistance for 10 counties in the Tampa Bay region.
Lippert Director of Corporate & Community Impact said Michilah Grimes said, “I am incredibly proud of the RV industry and how we are serving others together, which is the catalyst for remarkable change and lasting impact.”
Lippert will host more seRV With Purpose events. The second annual seRV Rally will commence April 4-7 at Savannah Lakes RV Resort.
