Wisconsin-based Kunes Country RV acquired two new locations in the state, adding new general managers and introducing Type B units to the dealership’s lineup.

Kunes purchased the Horn’s RV Center sites Feb. 19, RV Marketing Manager Melody Thompson said. The company’s new Neenah and Sheboygan, Wisconsin, additions will bring the dealership to 10 total locations, nine of which are in the state with one in Monmouth, Illinois.

“They are beautiful stores,” Thompson said. “The Sheboygan location has a large indoor showroom that stores 30 to 40 RVs [in two buildings].”

The acquisition will enable Kunes to sell Type B units for the first time, Thompson added. The Sheboygan location will be rebranded as Kunes’ south-based store, Thompson said, becoming the dealership’s second site in the town. Its northern counterpart is stationed nearby in Cleveland, Wisconsin.

The Sheboygan south store will be the only site that carries Type B motorhomes, Thompson added, among its 150 to 200 total units on the lot. Each dealership is brand-specific, she said. The company’s new store in Neenah, which now is called Kunes Country Destinations RV, carries about 37 units.

In addition to the new facilities, Kunes is welcoming two new general managers at each location, Thompson said.

Patrick Schwartz will be general manager at the company’s Neenah-based store and Roy Crutchfield will take on the same responsibilities at Sheboygan south. All other staff will stay the same, although Thompson said the company is hiring at a number of its locations.

“All the legalities and everything are done, and I am starting to put new signs outside of the buildings,” Thompson said. “We are targeting mid to late March for installation. We will also do some very light remodeling at the Sheboygan south location.”
