National Powersport Auctions (NPA), founded in 1990 offering live and online auctions of powersports, marine and RVs, is set to open its 10th location in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Kansas City grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, with the first live auction on Thursday, March 20. NPA is planning festivities for the grand opening including food trucks, new dealer promotions and registration incentives.

NPA Vice President Marine and RV Matt Amata said, “In addition to having members of our executive team, we have invited clients from around the country and are looking forward to a good turnout.”

Amata said Midwestern buyers and sellers have expressed interest in working with NPA, but previously, the closest locations to them were Dallas or Cincinnati. The new NPA site will fill a void in the Plains states and save dealers time and money in transportation costs when buying or selling their vehicles.

Amata said, “Our goal with this new facility is to make our auction more accessible to both new dealers and dealers who have done business with us.”

NPA said the company saw growth potential in Kansas City.

“We are the market leader in powersports auctions and quickly growing our RV and Marine segment,” Amata said. “Growth by expansion is important for us to reach our customers where they are located.”

The new space will be 38,000 square feet indoors and roughly 3 acres outdoors, and the layout will mirror the other nine locations. When NPA Kansas City reaches its full potential, the facility will host about 100 RVs and boats in addition to its powersport offerings. For the grand opening sale, NPA expects hundreds of powersports, marine and RV vehicles to be showcased.

“When you come to an NPA facility, it is just a super cool experience,” Amata said. “There are motorcycles, golf carts, four-wheelers, side-by-sides, slingshots, jet skis, campers, RVs, boats, all kinds of toys.”

The Kansas City team will include General Operations Manager Dustin Burres, Territory Sales Managers Mark Wright and Chris West and Inside Sales Representative Nache Ham. New local hires will handle sales, technician and office management roles.

“I always encourage any dealer, any seller, anybody to come and take a tour, come meet our staff,” Amata said. “We are a publicly traded company that feels like a small family operation.”

NPA has facilities in San Diego; Sacramento, California; Portland, Oregon; Denver; Dallas; Cincinnati; Atlanta; Philadelphia; Lakeland, Florida and Kansas City, Kansas.

NPA’s new location will be 6220 Kansas Avenue, Kansas City, Kan. 66111.
