Newmar Corp. welcomed its dealer body back to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to examine the motorhome manufacturer’s 2025 lineup, including a new diesel model.
Newmar President Casey Tubman said standing on the stage in front of the dealers felt like his first appearance on the stage in March 2023.
“It honestly feels like last week we were here for the kickoff of the 2024 model year and my own introduction to many of you,” Tubman said. “This past year has flown by with a whirlwind of change in the dynamics of the industry and the products we have brought out for you to see this week.”
Director of Sales Matt Ellinger unveiled the Northern Star to dealers. The new diesel pusher is priced as an introductory-level motorhome, Ellinger said. The motorhome features a redesigned cockpit and a new interior with new fascia, headboard, bedding, backsplash and porcelain tile.
“The Northern Star is primed to create a buzz,” Ellinger said, “and ready to make a splash at a price point landing lower than its predecessor.”
Ellinger discussed new floorplans and Mountain Aire’s lifecycle change. Vice President of Engineering Paul White informed the dealer body about changes to Newmar’s engineering process, including moving from 2-dimensional prints used to design motorhomes to 3-dimensional computer-assisted design (CAD) software.
White also told dealers Newmar streamlined its interiors from 13 wood colors and clearcoat finishes to five colors and three clearcoat finishes. Newmar’s multiplex systems were overhauled to appear in fewer places within the motorhome. Engineers also moved the electrical box connections to a box in the RV’s basement in all but a select few floorplans.
The dealer meeting continues this morning with presentations from new Newmar Vice President of Marketing Ryan Buurstra and Newmar Vice President of Operations Kevin Bogan. Newmar will present its annual dealer awards at an event tonight.
