After operating on a direct-to-consumer model for the past six years, adventure vehicle manufacturer Nomad RVs is branching out.
Nomad RVs was founded in 2019 by CEO Steve Del Prete. Del Prete was previously an award-winning custom home builder and avid adventurer. He said he combined his love for camping and building houses into a profitable business.
“My love for off-roading camping was always jeeps and trucks and building out systems for those,” Del Prete said. “Then rooftop tents to trailers and so on and so forth.”
Nomad RVs released its flagship production model earlier this year, a Type B adventure van called the Native. Before then, the company built out vans on a custom order basis.
The manufacturer unveiled its latest RV, its first Type C RV, the Euphoria. The motorhome is available to dealers throughout the U.S. as Nomad RVs is looking to build out its dealer network.
Del Prete said Euphoria was the company’s next step in expanding its fleet. He said consumers wanted a bigger vehicle but still one with off-grid capabilities. Del Prete said he only saw low-quality or high-priced vehicles on the market and wanted to fill in the gap.
“We wanted to come up with something in the middle ground,” he said, “that is achievable for people to get and still be not lacking on components and quality.”

The Euphoria is built on an all-wheel-drive Mercedes Sprinter 3500 chassis with a 2-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine. The vehicle’s body is made from a one-piece composite shell, making it lightweight and sturdy.
The RV is 10 feet, 8 inches tall and 7 feet, 2 inches wide. The 23-foot, 6-inch motorhome includes a rear storage box.
The Euphoria is equipped with a 48-volt, 270-amp-hour Battle Born lithium battery, 1,080 watts of solar panel power and Starlink’s Wi-Fi. The vehicle has a Nomadic Cooling X2– 48-volt air conditioner and a 50-gallon freshwater tank. The 28-inch x 34-inch wet bath features a CompoCloset composting toilet.
The RV also features an Aqua-Hot system for continuous on-demand water and hydronic heating.
Del Prete said, “We tried to do really robust systems to make sure you can get out and stay out.”
Del Prete said he is most excited about the solid-surface kitchen countertop and all-aluminum cabinets.
“Even when the vehicle is no longer functional,” Del Prete said, “people can take (aluminum cabinets) out and put them in their garage if they really wanted to keep those cabinets around. They will last forever.”
Nomad RVs also makes a bigger version of Euphoria called Euphoria XL. Euphoria XL is built on the 170” wheelbase sprinter AWD chassis and has two floor plans.
