Thousands of adventurers will gather in Redmond, Oregon, June 28-30. Overlanding enthusiasts will rally for the Overland Expo Pacific Northwest (PNW) 2024 show.
Overland Expo Editorial Director Rick Stowe said, “We have a really wide range of people who are really in backcountry adventure travel. Ranging from motorcycle adventure riders to weekend warriors in Subarus to full-time travelers and beyond.”
The consumer show features various events, and education sessions are provided throughout the weekend.
Overland Expo hosts four regional events nationwide—East, Mountain West, Pacific Northwest and West. PNW is the youngest of the Overland Expos, in its third year.
Stowe said the show has grown significantly since its inception. In 2023, 17,000 adventurers attended. Show organizers anticipate a similar number of attendees for this year’s show.
More than 220 different classes, slideshows, demonstrations and activities will be delivered by over 120 instructors and presenters.
This year, 350 vendors are expected to attend. Confirmed RV manufacturing exhibitors include EarthRoamer, Forest River Pause, Imperial Outdoors, Outside Van and Winnebago.
Suppliers including Airxcel, Dometic, Expion360, GoPower, Nomadic Cooling, Victron Energy and Xantrex are expected to attend.
According to Stowe, each show features different events.
He said, “Each of the events have their own kind of character. From one Overland Expo to the next, classes, vehicle reveals, Ride and Drives and other specifics change.”
The PNW will host new events this year, including the Land Rover Vehicular Games and the Women Who Wander program.
On June 30, Vehicular Games participants will navigate Land Rovers through an overlanding trail. The event is presented by the Pacific Coast Rover Club and the Association of North American Rover Clubs.
The Women Who Wander event series provides female-focused overland education throughout the week. Participants will connect for a fireside chat from 7-9 p.m., June 28.
Each night, attendees will gather for Happy Hours and networking events. On June 29, the Overland Expo Foundation Raffle will award winners with overlanding gear and accessories.
