Albuquerque RV received the 2022 Best of Albuquerque Award in the RV Dealer category as recognition for service to its community.
The dealership is the first to receive the award in the RV Dealer category, said Sheril Vergara, Albuquerque RV owner and general manager.
The award is given each year by the Albuquerque Award Program (AAP) to local companies that “enhance the positive image of small business through service to their costumers and our community.” Businesses that use the best practices and demonstrate long-term value are recognized, AAP said. The AAP program is 18 years old.
“We are just very excited because we feel like it is a very prestigious award to receive as a business in Albuquerque,” Vergara said. “If you look at our Google reviews, and you look at our website or even if you come into our showroom, you will see that we are very customer-service focused.”
According to the AAP, companies that achieve exceptional marketing success and strive to make Albuquerque a wonderful place to live, work and play are eligible for the award. Winners are based on information gathered by third parties and the AAP.
“The Albuquerque Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity,” AAP said.
Vergara is originally from Indiana. She and her husband worked in the RV industry for years before they realized Vergara’s dream and bought their own dealership.
Albuquerque RV was under a year old when the pandemic began. She made the decision to keep ordering inventory and stay open. The dealership had a highly successful second year of business for that reason, she said.
“Now we are going into, you know, our third year. We have been open three years and about five months,” Vergara said. “Now we have just found out we received Best of the Best in RV dealer category in Albuquerque. We are extremely proud. It is so rewarding to know that our hard work and commitment is paying off.”
