RVIA and Go RVing joined Together Outdoors, a coalition with members from outdoor recreation industry businesses and organizations seeking justice, diversity, equity and inclusion (JEDI/DEI) in the outdoors.
“The RV industry has a firm belief that the outdoors, adventure and RVing is for everyone,” RVIA stated. “For decades, the RV industry, and specifically Go RVing, has been working to grow diversity in the RV market, and foster equitable, accessible and inclusive RV experiences for everyone of all backgrounds.
“We are extremely encouraged by the work being done by many RV companies and companies from across the outdoor recreation industry and are proud to join with other organizations to support the continuation of these DEI efforts through the Together Outdoors coalition.”
The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) announced members of the advisory and governance councils last week.
The governance council will assist ORR with providing direction for Together Outdoor’s mission and values, program design, communications, fundraising, partnerships and access.
The advisory council will provide recommendations to the Together Outdoors team for programming and initiatives, facilitate educational sessions and plan workshops for the coalition.
