In June, Spartan RV Chassis, a division of The Shyft Group, unveiled a rebranded aftermarket parts and service line called Red Diamond Aftermarket Solutions. Red Diamond products for Type A RVs are available online and at Spartan RV Chasis service centers.
Recently, Shyft Specialty Vehicles President Steve Guillaume discussed Red Diamond’s future in more detail.
“Red Diamond is part of Spartan RV Chassis and has exclusive access to Spartan authorized parts. Now we are expanding our product offering to address the broader RV market,” Guillaume said. “To do so, Red Diamond leverages Spartan RV Chassis’ 40-year heritage in engineering, manufacturing and service, as well as partners with industry-leading suppliers to provide products that meet or exceed OEM specifications.”
The Red Diamond product segment manufactured by Spartan RV Chassis could grow in the near future, he said. The Red Diamond line will satisfy OEM and Spartan RV Chassis service center requests with tailored product and service solutions, he said.
“They regularly ask for solutions to different areas of concern or needs, and we listened. This presented a window of opportunity to expand our aftermarket product and services while leveraging our 40-year investment in RV chassis engineering, service and education,” Guillaume said. “This is a very natural expansion for us and one we are very excited about.”
Red Diamond released three new products to coincide with the rebranding. Future product releases will be determined, in part, by consumers at company training sessions.
“We have a company-owned service center in Charlotte, Michigan, and regularly host our Spartan RV owners through three or four-and-a-half-day training sessions in Charlotte, which are sold out each year,” Guillaume said “This ongoing connection to the consumer is a great way to generate product ideas. We also base our new products on feedback from our authorized service centers across the country that are servicing customers daily.”
