An efficient air conditioning filter prohibits pollen, dirt and lint from entering RVs. When filters fail to block these intruders, RVers search for a replacement.
Replacing a filter over and over can soon become a burden.
Wacko Products owner and President Darrell Abts said he has the fully ducted RV solution.
Wacko’s Best RV A/C Filter has an electrostatic filtration system. The three-dimensional, corrugated filter is coarse on one side and fine on the other, creating static electricity that eliminates dirt, pollen and lint. The product line includes 14 SKUs.
The filter replaces OE air intake filters. Abts said these foam filters often get sucked inside the air ducts, forcing air to go around the filter. Wacko’s product structure directs airflow through the filter, not around it.
“It really solves the need of the consumer,” Abts said. “The consumers are looking for a better avenue, to have extra airflow and convenience of cleaning the filters.”
The filter is safe to vacuum and can be hand-washed and air-dried. Abts said the filter will last a lifetime.
Wacko provides the filter as an OE replacement product for RV manufacturers including Tiffin, Newmar, Winnebago and others. At the Family Motor Coach Association show in Tucson, Arizona, Abts sold out of his Tiffin stock due to high demand.
According to Abts, the product line accommodates around 90% of RV manufacturers.
“I think I have a broad enough product line now with the 14 different SKUs,” Abts said, “that we are ready to rock and roll.”
Wacko Products is currently negotiating with distributors. Abts said he estimates company products will be available through distributors in the coming months.
