RV dealers got their first look at the revamped Westfalia motorhome at Elkhart Extravaganza in September.

After some prototype tweaks, the Type B motorhome—now dubbed the Westfalia Wave—will be on display at the RV SuperShow in Tampa, Florida, Jan. 17-21.

Westfalia North America Head of Sales Len McDougall said hundreds of perspective dealers toured the prototype at Elkhart Extravaganza.

Since September, Westfalia made minor changes to cosmetic and functional details such as the motorhome’s lighting tone. The overall structural aspects remained consistent.

McDougall said the motorhome featured at Tampa will be similar to the prototype seen in Elkhart.

McDougall said, “We are currently establishing the dealer network for Westphalia.”

La Mesa RV Head of Marketing Steve Love said, “La Mesa is excited to be the launch dealer for the Westfalia Wave. This innovative new vehicle is perfect for the beach lifestyle that many in Florida desire yet mobile enough to be an everyday transportation vehicle. La Mesa looks forward to welcoming everyone to the Tampa SuperShow.”

Additionally, Westfalia will give away a prize pack including an inflatable paddle board package, a Truma Cooler C30 and a Westfalia snapback hat.

The Wave is built on a Ram 3500 159-inch wheelbase extended chassis and is 20 feet, 9 inches long. The motorhome’s GVWR is 9,350 pounds.

The Wave is available in six exterior paint options: Bright White, Sliver Metallic, Granite Metallic, Ceramic Grey, Cherry Red Crystal and Spitfire Orange. The interior features a Timber Wolf Grey décor with European styling. Rear storage space holds large outdoor gear such as mountain bikes.

The Wave includes a 3,000-watt inverter, a Truma LP Combi heating system and 300 watts of solar power. The motorhome includes 600-amp-hour lithium batteries and an under-hood generator.

McDougall said the Wave’s technology features keep the motorhome, “simple, reliable, uncluttered.”A picture of a family inside the Westfalia Wave.

The Wave’s bench seat behind the cockpit converts to a bed. The motorhome can sleep four. With an optional pop-top, the Wave sleeps six.
