Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. (FCCC) is strengthening its partnership with Tiffin Motorhomes with the introduction of new features and models at the Tiffin Dealer Meeting in Nashville.
Highlighting the expansion of FCCC’s partnership with Tiffin during the April 24-25 event will be the reveal of PowerDrive, its exclusive new steering system designed to transform the Tiffin Class A driving experience.
FCCC said PowerDrive balances power and performance, featuring an electronic motor that delivers torque assist to the hydraulic steering system. PowerDrive also features integrated sensors to monitor torque, steering input and vehicle speed that enable the coach to adapt in real time to road conditions and hazards – enhancing driver safety, comfort and confidence.
FCCC RV product manager Jeremy Buckmeier said, “By providing a smoother, safer and more confident ride, PowerDrive is putting performance in the driver’s seat. With industry-leading handling and enhanced drivability, PowerDrive is helping the Tiffin team build their smoothest, most responsive Class A coaches yet.”
In addition, Tiffin will utilize the dealer meeting to showcase its newest Class A model built on FCCC’s exclusive PowerGlide XC chassis—the 2026 Phaeton. Available in four floorplans on the PowerGlide XC, the Phaeton offers:
- BrakeSync supplemental braking system
- DriveTech wheel and column controls with OptiView all-digital dash
- RoadWatch suite of safety systems
- V-Ride suspension system
- IFS independent front suspension
- Custom steering-column configuration with unobstructed footwell
- Koni shocks
The 2026 Phaeton is the latest Tiffin Class A model now available on the PowerGlide XC or PowerGlide SL, joining the 2026 Allegro Bus (available on both PowerGlide XC and PowerGlide SL) and the 2026 Zephyr (PowerGlide SL).
