Brown & Brown appointed Paul Gallagher as the company’s controller.
In his new role, Gallagher will provide strategic guidance and leadership for all financial operations, including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing and financial reporting; controls and compliance; acquisitions; and planning and strategic decision-making. He will additionally support talent development.
Andy Watts, Brown & Brown executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer said the F&I provider was excited to welcome Gallagher.
“He brings a wealth of global experience and the skills, as well as the leadership attributes needed to support our continued growth and global expansion,” Watts said. “His analytical and collaborative approach to leadership makes him an excellent addition to our incredible team.”
Prior to joining Brown & Brown, Gallagher spent more than 25 years at Deloitte where he served in global, premier and public accounting spaces. During his time at the consulting company, he led teams of multifunctional professionals. He also worked in advisory, audit, business development/retention; mergers and acquisitions, quality and risk, technical accounting and international business roles.
