Giant Recreation World, a family-owned dealership based in Florida, will help camping dreams come true by granting the wishes of multiple Make-A-Wish children.

Established in 1976, the dealership has three central Florida stores and has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida foundation to grant the first wish this month with more to follow throughout the year.

“It is an honor to continue our involvement with such a great foundation like Make-A-Wish,” CEO Larry McNamara said. “We were very happy to see the number of children that shared my same love for the outdoors and RV lifestyle.”

The foundation reached out to Giant Recreation World with multiple camping-based wishes, the company stated.

“Their love and aspirations for camping aligns with [McNamara], whom also from a young age fell in love with the outdoors and the RV lifestyle,” the company stated. “These aligned feelings, in combination with the belief in the Make-A-Wish mission, made it an easy decision to commit to grant multiple wishes.”

McNamara is no stranger to the foundation, the company added. Giant Recreation World helped with numerous Make-A-Wish requests in the past.

“It brings great joy to me being involved in such a meaningful program, and I have our partners at Forest River to thank for making this partnership possible,” McNamara said.

More than 6,100 wishes have been granted for children in the local community since 1994, the Florida organization said.
