Forest River No Boundaries (NOBO) chose the Truma Aventa Eco for its new Unplugged Package. The Truma Aventa Eco is a rooftop air conditioner for off-grid camping. Trauma said Forest River chose the air conditioner because it cools RVs without shore power.
The Unplugged Package is an option on 19.8 NOBO RVs. The package includes a solar panel system and lithium-ion batteries powering everything in the RV, including the AC, microwave and refrigerator.
“Our Unplugged Package was designed to allow our NOBO family to camp with the comforts of home without plugging into shore power,” Forest River Sales and Product Manager Cody Schade said. “The Truma Aventa, paired with our Unplugged system, elevates the off-grid camping experience by offering full temperature control and multiple compressor settings with remote control anywhere in the unit.”
The Truma Aventa Eco is 30% more efficient than traditional 13,500 BTU rooftop units, Truma said, and has a much lower amp draw.
The lower power usage enables NOBO Unplugged owners to take longer trips away from shore power without worrying about draining their batteries to stay cool.
In addition to being energy efficient, the Truma Aventa is also quiet, Truma said.
“We are always happy to participate in projects that push the limits of what an RV can do,” said Bob Yessa, Truma technical sales representative. “The Unplugged package and systems like our Truma Aventa prove you can camp in premium comfort no matter where you go.”
The Unplugged package will be available on 19.8 NOBO units beginning this summer.
Truma supplies cooling and heating as well as water and propane systems to the global outdoor recreation community. Truma started doing business in North America in 2013 and is headquartered in Elkhart, IN.
