Brent Stevens, who spent the past 13 years as the general manager for Forest River’s XLR toy hauler brand, has been named the executive director of the Van Wert Area Economic Development Corp. in Ohio.
Stevens’ first day at his new job will be April 1.
Stevens grew up in the Van Wert County area, graduating from high school and beginning his career in the area. Stevens’ parents were long-time staples in the Van West community and Stevens’ wife, Vicki, also is from the area.
“I am excited to return to my childhood home and take over a very successful program Stacy Adam, and her team have compiled over the last seven years,” Stevens said.
Stevens spent 34 years in the RV industry. He was vice president of sales for Dutchmen manufacturing and oversaw the manufacturing, sales and service of over 10 North American brands.
His RV career started in 1989 at Fleetwood Motor Homes, in parts and service. Stevens eventually became a regional sales manager for American Coach.
