Forest River is expanding its Bus and Van division through the acquisition of L.A. West Coaches.
The company crafts luxury custom coaches on Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ram ProMaster chassis.
Although L.A. West Coaches will fold into Forest River’s Bus and Van division, the manufacturer’s products resemble many built by Forest River’s OGV Luxury Coach division. OGV Luxury Coaches was launched in July 2023 and makes Mercedes Sprinter conversion vans for transport and recreational uses.
Forest River Bus and Van Group General Manager Douglas Wright said, “L.A. West Coaches’ proven expertise and dedication to quality align with our values, and we look forward to collaborating to expand our product range.”
L.A. West Coaches President and CEO Vern Kauffman said Forest River respects his company’s technology, team and culture.
He said, “The additional resources that Forest River Bus brings to L.A. West will further accelerate our growth and market penetration in the luxury transportation segment.”
