Forest River donated $1 million to Care Camps Foundation since its donation pledge in 2019. The manufacturer promised to continue its partnership with the foundation by donating with each product sold.
Forest River places a co-branded sticker on each vehicle sold nationwide. Care Camps will also be at Forest River’s Elkhart Extravaganza, Sept. 23-26.
Forest River General Manager Jason Hershberger, who is also a Care Camps Foundation board of director, said, “As an industry, we do a lot of good things individually, but this is one of those things that we should all do together. We hope to inspire every manufacturer, supplier and dealer to come together so every child suffering from cancer will have the opportunity to attend a special camp.”
Care Camp Foundation funded more than 120 pediatric oncology camps across the U.S. and Canada in 2023. The camps affected 41,000 lives.
Care Camps Foundation Executive Director Gwynn Sullivan said, “We are deeply grateful for our partnership with Forest River and their extraordinary generosity. Their steadfast commitment to our mission greatly contributes to our ability to fund the pediatric oncology camps we serve.”
