Dustin Johns, former Travel Lite RV CEO, died at the age of 41 in August in Hallandale Beach, Fla.

A celebration of life will take place at 1 p.m. Sept. 24 at American Legion Post 154 in Nappanee, Indiana.

Johns was born Sept. 12, 1980, in Bremen, Indiana, to Larry P, Sr. and Linda (Huff) Johns. He was a 1999 graduate of NorthWood High School.

On June 20, 2009, he married Lindsey McCarthy and together they moved to Goshen.

In his early career, Johns was involved in modeling. He later worked as a Travel Lite salesman in New Paris. He rose to become company president and was best known for his innovative designs, Yoder Funeral Home said.

In 2015, Johns and his wife took ownership of Travel Lite RV when Johns’ father retired. The couple sold the business in 2020 and moved to Hallandale Beach, Florida, where Johns performed day trading and owned Innovation LLC, Yoder Funeral Home said.

In his obituary, the funeral home said Johns appreciated art and music and was a member of the American Legion. In his spare time, he enjoyed working out, playing poker, luxury cars, baseball card trading, sports betting and being with his family.

Surviving Johns are: his wife, Lindsey; his children, Addison, Dylan and Bailey Johns; siblings, Larry Paul Jr. (Anne) Johns, Teresa (Mark) Eads, Tami Vance and Tara (Keith) Troyer; four nieces, four nephews, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
