Brian Allred, former vice president of sales and marketing at Ultra-Fab products, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at age 58.

Allred spent more than a quarter-century working with the aftermarket jacks and leveling supplier.

According to Ultra-Fab President Craig Searer, Allred was instrumental in more than doubling the supplier’s revenue. Between 2000 and 2021, Allred aided Ultra-Fab in raising its annual revenue from around $3 million to around $8 million. Searer said Allred was personable and his various industry connections supported the company in raising revenue.

“He just was all around a really good guy,” Searer said, “who would do what he could to help you.”

According to Searer, Allred was always straightforward and honest.

Ultra-Fab Vice President of Sales and Marketing Raymond Padgett said, “Allred played a major role in the growth of Ultra-Fab from the 1990s through 2022. His decades of experience have been missed since he left Ultra-Fab, but we have remained fast friends.”

RV/MH Hall of Fame President and former Ultra-Fab owner Darryl Searer knew Allred for 34 years. He said Allred was a gentleman and a good friend.

Darryl Searer said, “He was a great individual and person to work with, and he was a good salesman.”

Chad Vannauker spent nearly two decades working alongside Allred in sales at Ultra-Fab. He said he loved Allred like a brother and was sad to hear about his death.

“Our community has lost a genuine champion of the RV lifestyle and a good man who touched the lives of so many,” Vannauker said. “He always made me laugh. He challenged me at every turn. He never missed an opportunity to brag on Indiana in every way.”

Vannauker said he and Allred did numerous trainings where Allred left a room of 1,500 people in stitches. He said making people laugh was the best way for salespeople to capture their attention.

“He will be missed by family, friends, colleagues and the community,” Vannauker said. “At the end of the day, he had your back, no matter what.”

Outside of work, Allred enjoyed singles tennis and played the card game Euchre.

Darryl Searer said he remembers Allred’s competitive but playful spirit. When friends would complain about losing, Allred would joke, “Well, when you learn how to play those cards, we’ll deal you some better ones.”

Darryl Searer said he continues to use Allred’s comeback line today.

Allred is survived by his wife, Tammie, and three children.

The family will not conduct a typical funeral. Tammie Allred will arrange a Celebration of Life ceremony, per Allred’s wishes. Details will be made available at a later date.

Padgett said, “Everyone at Ultra-Fab wishes the best for Tammie and the rest of his family.”
