General RV Center, Michigan’s largest RV retailer, will host hiring events today and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at its Detroit-area dealerships in Brownstown, Clarkston, Mt. Clemens and Wixom, Michigan.
The company stated it has grown exponentially in recent years and is staffing up ahead of its busiest season.
“We have experienced record growth in multiple areas with strong RV sales and several construction and expansion projects,” said Loren Baidas, General RV Center president. “Our focus now is on expanding the General RV family with employees who can help us deliver first-class experiences for our customers.”
Full-time roles are available in all departments: Finance, parts, service, sales, insurance and administration.
Record RV demand and use, coupled with General RV’s accelerated growth, created the need for a larger workforce, the company stated. A recent survey revealed 72 million Americans plan to go RVing in the next year, an 18% increase over 2021.
RV show attendance has been strong, the dealership stated. The Detroit RV and Camping Show held at the Suburban Collective Showplace in February reported its third-highest ever attendance with over 27,000 people.
