General RV Center has begun renovating one of its two Pennsylvania stores. When the expansion is complete next year, the store will be nearly twice as large as it is today.
The $15 million project at General RV’s Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, store will expand the RV lot, add a new retail space and build a drive-thru service canopy addition.
The work began just three years after General RV opened the store. Construction is expected to finish in spring 2025.
CEO Loren Baidas said, “This renovation will allow us to deliver an even better experience to our new and existing customers throughout the region. Once completed, this supercenter will be the largest, most state-of-the-art RV dealership in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.”
The expansion will triple the store’s RV inventory capacity, creating 16 additional paved acres of lot space. The store currently carries about 250 RVs and will accommodate about 750 after the expansion.
The service canopy will occupy 7,000 square feet and the retail building expansion will add 15,000 square feet, more than doubling the current retail building’s size.
The company said the store would remain open through construction.
