General RV Center will open a new store in South Weber, Utah, in 2024. The new location will be about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City.
General RV Center plans to break ground this summer to start construction on a 65,000-square-foot facility. The new facility will have 30 service bays, including a body shop, and is expected to open in the fall of 2024.
The South Weber store will be General RV Center’s 15th location.
“We are thrilled to continue our growth in Utah and serve even more campers across the Southwest,” said Chris Davis, General RV’s vice president of finance. “We are excited to bring our industry-leading purchase, delivery and ownership experiences to future and current RV owners.”
The company opened its first Utah store, located in Draper, in 2009. The dealership was the leading RV dealer in Salt Lake City by overall RV sales, according to Statistical Surveys Inc.
“We are excited for the opportunity to expand General RV to more Utah communities,” said Robert Jensen, managing partner of General RV’s Draper location. “After getting my start in the RV business with my father at Blaine Jensen & Sons RV, I could not be more proud to bring the family-business values at the core of General RV to northern Utah.”
More details regarding the groundbreaking and opening date will be released later this year. General RV Center currently owns and operates 14 supercenters across seven states: Michigan, Florida, Utah, Illinois, Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
