Over the past year, General RV Center expanded.

In 2023, General RV added four new stores in the South and broke ground on two new stores expected to open by the end of 2024.

In addition to national expansion, General is rated as an industry leader across states. According to Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI) data, General RV sells one out of every 10 motorhomes in the U.S. The SSI data reveals that the dealer sells one out of every 35 travel trailers. The company leads motorhome sales in Utah and Virginia as well.

General RV CEO Loren Baidas said, “We do not grow for growth’s sake. Our strategy is designed to deliver our high-quality service and RV purchasing experience to new and existing customers across the country.”

Baidas said the dealer is eager to see how facility and community investments enhance customer service.

In 2023, General RV acquired stores in Pennsylvania and Florida. General RV opened Florida stores in Fort Pierce and Fort Myers.

Two more dealerships are expected to open this year after breaking ground in 2023.

The Salisbury, North Carolina, location is General RV’s first North Carolina presence. The 71,000-square-foot facility is located north of Charlotte. The building will include over 30 service bays, including a six-bay body shop. The area will fit 700 RVs. More than 150 full-time jobs with $65,000 salary averages will stem from the store when its doors open.

The South Weber, Utah, dealership, 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, is the company’s second Utah location. The 65,000-square-foot facility will include 30 service bays, a body shop and space to house 450 RVs. This Supercenter is estimated to bring 110 jobs to the local community. Both stores are expected to open by the end of 2024.

General RV President Chris Davis said, “There is always an ebb and flow to the RV industry. As 2024 is upon us, we are steadfast in our focus on customer service and implementing our values as a family-owned company across all of our locations to anticipate and exceed the needs of all RVers.”
