Go RVing’s latest trends report centered on the rise of smart technology in RVs.

The technology consists of interconnected devices that communicate with one another to create a cohesive and responsive living environment. Examples include Lippert’s RV door lock with Bluetooth, Winnebago Connect, Winegard’s Smart RV System sensors and voice-activated systems.

Go RVing said, “As the RV industry continues to incorporate smart technological advancements in its products (whether through Bluetooth or other intelligent systems), this will create a more comfortable experience for outdoor consumers.”

A Parks Associates survey recorded that 45% of U.S. internet households have at least one smart home device and 18% have six or more. Three-quarters of smart home consumers are younger than 55 years old, according to Exploding Topics.

According to a study by Statista, the global number of smart homes in the smart home market was forecast to continuously increase between 2023 and 2028 by 424.5 million consumers.

Go RVing predicted that “RVing will become an even more personalized experience as travelers gain more freedom and control over their RV’s settings and environment, in addition to their planned outdoor destinations and activities.”
