Go RVing has completed five experiential events so far this year, which have resulted in 33,766 tours and 1,750 leads.
Dana DelVecchio, Go RVing’s senior manager of programs and experiential events, said each event’s purpose is to educate and inform consumers. Experiential events give consumers real-world opportunities to engage firsthand with RVs and encourage consumers to share their experiences, Go RVing said.
So far, Go RVing’s team has hosted experientials at:
- Lauderdale Air & Show (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) April 29-30
- Denver Cinco De Mayo Festival (Denver) May 6-7
- GoPro Mountain Games (Vail, Colorado) June 8-11
- WPA Juneteenth (Pittsburgh) June 16-19
- Country Fest (Cadott, Wisconsin) June 21-24
DelVecchio said when she decides which RVs to display at an event, she considers the consumers who will be attending.
“For example, if there is a country music festival happening, that is really popular with all age groups,” DelVecchio said, “and we can expect a big range of audiences to tour the two RVs on display.”
Two consumer types generally tour RVs at the events: those exploring an RV for the first time, and those primarily familiar with older motorhomes. Both groups ultimately learn about the diversity in newer model types.
DelVecchio said, “We want people to touch, feel, and see RVs firsthand.”
By the end of 2022’s 15 experiential events, Go RVing conducted almost 127,000 tours and collected over 6,100 leads. DelVecchio said the team is hoping to reach similar numbers this year.
