Good Sam, the world’s largest organization of RV owners, is creating a nationwide RV storage network. The network’s goal is to recognize RV storage facilities providing high standards of service and amenities. The network will also liaise between small business RV storage owners and the RV community.
“We are always looking for ways to make the RV lifestyle easier for our Good Sam Members and RVers everywhere,” said Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World Holdings. “By creating a nationwide network of RV storage facilities and working with these facilities to provide additional value-add services to our members, we will make it easier for RVers to access storage facilities in their area that best suits their needs and provide RV storage owners access to new customers. For over 50 years, we have been connecting RVers with RV parks and campgrounds through our Good Sam Park Network. The creation of a parallel network of RV storage facilities throughout the country compliments our Good Sam Park network and is just another way for us to utilize our resources to support the RV community. The listings of our Good Sam RV Storage facilities will be included in our Good Sam Guide Series publication this fall, as well as on GoodSam.com for easy access.”
In the coming weeks, Good Sam representatives will begin reaching out and visiting RV storage facilities around the country. They aim to discuss the program and establish an initial rating system based on characteristics such as security, access, cleanliness and other amenities. RV storage facilities in the U.S. and Canada will have the ability to be designated a “Good Sam RV Storage Facility” and join the network if they meet and maintain certain criteria.
“This initiative is meant to support those business owners who support our RV industry and lifestyle, with traffic and revenue,” Camping World COO Tamara Ward said. “We will use our 10-million-plus database to connect RVers with storage facilities that meet our standard of safety, security and value for our customers. Our job as a company is to bridge those parties together seamlessly and this program will do that.”
