Daimler Vans USA
Front Passenger Seat Frame Not Welded Properly
An improperly welded seat frame base may have reduced stability, which can increase the risk of injury to the occupant in a crash.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 3
Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling certain 2021 Mercedes-Benz Metris vehicles equipped with an adjustable front passenger seat. The front passenger seat frame base may not have been welded properly.
DVUSA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the seat frame base, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 29, 2021. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267. DVUSA’s number for this recall is VS2SITZNAT.
Forest River
Possible Furnace Exhaust Leak into Living Space
A misaligned furnace flue can allow furnace exhaust to leak into the living space, increasing the risk of injury or death.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 21
Forest River is recalling certain 2021 Cardinal CAF345RLX, CAF366DVLE, CAF390BX and 2021 Wildcat WCF336RLS, WCF368MB vehicles. The furnace flue may become misaligned due to insufficient furnace hold screws that allow movement during travel.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will secure the furnace and align the flue, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 14, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-296-7700. Forest River’s number for this recall is 15-1302.
Spare Tire Carrier Incorrectly Installed
A detached spare tire carrier can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 309
Forest River is recalling certain 2021 Cardinal and Wildcat Fifth Wheels trailers. The spare tire carrier may be installed incorrectly, allowing it to detach from the vehicle.
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will secure the spare tire carrier, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 17, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-296-7700. Forest River’s number for this recall is 15-1304.
Newmar Corp.
Steering Gear Fasteners May Come Loose
Difficulty steering, or the inability to steer in both directions, can increase the risk of a crash.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 253
Newmar is recalling certain 2020-2022 Dutch Star, King Aire, Essex, London Aire, and Mountain Aire motorhomes. The steering gear mounting bolts may become loose and back out, resulting in difficulty steering.
On behalf of Newmar, Shyft Group Inc. will coordinate the recall repair and notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering gear mounting bolts and washers, free of charge.
