The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following recalls:

Front Steer Axle Tie Rod Castle Nut Cotter Pin May be Missing
A missing steer axle tie rod castle nut cotter-pin may result in the castle nut backing off and displacing the taper-end from the steering arm, increasing the crash risk.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 306
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022-2023 S2RV chassis and certain 2023 XCM, XCR and XCS chassis. A missing steer axle tie rod castle nut cotter-pin may result in a loss of steering response and lack of direction control.
DTNA is preparing a remedy and is currently under development. Repairs will be performed free of charge by Daimler Truck North America authorized service facilities. Reimbursement plan details will be included in the owner’s notification letter. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 4.

Solar Panel Mounting Hardware May Loosen
Improper wire routing and loose electrical connections can lead to overloaded circuits and damaged equipment, including failure of the auxiliary alternator. An overloaded circuit can result in equipment damage, increasing the fire risk.
Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,180
Winnebago is recalling all 2021-2023 Winnebago Ekko motorhomes.
Loose connections of the house 12-volt charging system and improper cable routing can lead to failure of the auxiliary alternator.
Winnebago Motorhomes will coordinate the inspection and remedy proper cable routing and electrical connections. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 26.
