Each May, celebrities make grand entrances adorned in lavish garments at the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Similar to icons on the steps of the museum, Grand Design RV’s first Lineage motorhome had a grand unveiling near Times Square, New York City.

The manufacturer’s Lineage Series M Type C motorhome debuted in Bryant Park at a glamping event. The event was the new motorized line’s public debut. Motorized line details were previewed first in the May 2024 issue of RV News.

Grand Design President and CEO Don Clark said, “We are very excited to write the next chapter of Grand Design… (the event in) New York City was the perfect way to mark the occasion.”A picture of Grand Design RVs at Bryant Park, New York City.

Grand Design’s Reflection 100 fifth wheel and Serenova towable were displayed alongside the motorhome. All three RVs were positioned in front of the steps of the New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building at Bryan Park’s eastern edge.

During the event, attendees made crafts, created camping snacks and played outdoor lawn games. A local band performed under the Reflection awning.

The Series M is built atop a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cab chassis. The motorhome features custom exterior luggage doors and hydraulic leveling jacks.

The interior includes a European-inspired design with a neutral palette, square fixtures, dark ceilings and luxury lighting. Acrylic windows and a king-sized bed are included. An entry door package includes shades, screens and trim kits. An air conditioner quietly cools the vehicle.

“Since we announced our entry into the motorized market, the response has been tremendous,” Clark said. “We cannot wait to initiate shipments so that our customers can make lasting memories in their new Lineage.”

The company said Lineage shipments are coming soon.
