Grandfather Starts RV Trip to See Grandson Pitch in Majors

A picture of Matt Peacock

Arizona Diamondbacks’ new reliever Matt Peacock will pitch at the team’s home opener today, prompting more than four days of RV travel for Peacock’s grandfather, Harvey Morris, to see his grandson pitch in the Major Leagues.

Morris, referred to as “Paw Paw” by Peacock, took his RV 1,700 miles from Mobile, Alabama, to be at Chase Field at the Arizona Diamondbacks’ home opener.

Morris, who limits himself to 475 miles a day on the RV, vows to do his best to keep following him around the country in his RV, just as he did throughout the minor leagues.
