For the second time this year, the RV/MH Hall of Fame Class of 2020 found out it would have to wait to be inducted into the hall.
RV/MH Hall of Fame President Darryl Searer announced that the annual induction dinner would be postponed until Thursday, May 13, 2021.
The move was done “out of an abundance of caution” Searer said. It originally was scheduled for Aug. 3 but was postponed until Dec. 3 because of the pandemic.
“Even though Indiana has reached Stage 5 in its reopening plan it is far from being back to normal for our induction dinner scheduled for Dec. 3, as it relates to people traveling in from other states and Canada,” Searer said in the announcement. “In addition to unpredictable weather at that time of year, many states and Canada are enforcing a quarantine period when they return home. Therefore, I believe our next best choice, to give the inductees the honor and prestige that goes with being inducted, is to move the induction dinner to May 13. 2021.”
The Class of 2020 awaiting induction includes five RV members: Mark Beecher, RV Retail Finance, South Dakota; Garth W. Cane, RV Service Technician; professor, Cobourg, Ontario, Canada; David Fought, RV Manufacturer, Indiana; Jeff Pastore, RV Dealer, Ohio; and David Schutz, Supplier, Indiana.
The five manufactured housing inductees include Steve Adler, Burt Dickman, Ron Dunlap, George Porter and Jerry Ruggirello.
