Harbinger, a medium-duty electric vehicle manufacturer producing chassis for the RV industry, has completed the production of 100 chassis.

Harbinger said more than one of the 100 chassis made has been delivered to Thor Industries. Others have been delivered to companies including Ethero Truck + Energy and Bruckner’s Truck. Harbinger reached 100 chassis four years after the company was founded in February 2021.

Harbinger co-founder and CEO John Harris said, “Completing production of 100 chassis is an important achievement for Harbinger. Our ability to design and move our vehicle into production this quickly is a testament to the creativity and diligence of our world-class team.”

Harbinger said the company officially started production (SOP) for its American-made electric vehicles.

Harris said, “We chose to announce the start of production only after reaching this milestone to highlight that we are producing vehicles at a volume and scale that is truly impactful for our customers and the industry.”

Back in September, Thor unveiled a hybrid Type A motorhome featuring Harbinger’s chassis. Thor said the motorhome would be commercially available in 2025 and feature a 500-mile battery range. Thor said the chassis deliveries have not altered the manufacturer’s production timeline.

Thor said its hybrid RV is the first electrified chassis designed to power Type A motorhomes. Harbinger’s hybrid chassis is powered by a 145,000-watt battery pack, a gasoline range extender to recharge the battery and a solar-powered rooftop.

Harbinger manufactures its electric vehicle platform in Garden Grove, California. The chassis is designed specifically for medium-duty vehicles, including RVs.

The chassis includes all major vehicle systems, including the electric drivetrain, high voltage (HV) battery system, steering, brakes and more.
