Hopkins Manufacturing Corp., a supplier of specialized towing products and functional accessories for the RV and automotive and aftermarkets, bought Lumax LLC, a grease gun, grease fittings, pumps and fluid management supplier based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The additional company strengthens Hopkins’ position in fluid management products, the company stated, adding grease guns and related products to complement its fluid management business. In addition to lubrication products, the Lumax product line includes funnels and drains, pumps and accessories, oil measurers and filter wrenches.
Bradley T. Kraft, Hopkins president and CEO, said Lumax is the company’s fourth fluid management product company acquisition.
“The addition of Lumax provides us with the broadest line available of fluid management products for our customers,” Kraft said.
Harry Armin, Lumax president and CEO, said the acquisition will allow Hopkins to grow Lumax’s product line.
“Hopkins’ incredible focus on innovation, combined with their outstanding reputation in the industry and the fit with the FloTool line of products, makes them the perfect partner for our line,” Armin said.
Hopkins will transfer Lumax distribution to its primary distribution center in Edgerton, Kansas, where it distributes its towing, cleaning, fluid management, vehicle accessory and other product lines.
