Icon Technologies, a manufacturer and marketer of plastic components for RVs, is releasing a four-product line of bath and shower surrounds intended for aftermarket and OEM applications.
First announced in RV News, the kits’ modular nature enables each one to fit a wide variety of tight spaces, both as an aftermarket product or OEM installation. The modular design provides installation in tight spaces where OEM one-piece surrounds may have been inserted prior to a wall or other finishings.
Jordan Martindale, Icon marketing manager, said the product installation is intuitive.
“Having four kits covering a variety of bathtubs or shower pans makes this rather simple to get the right thing and easily adapt as needed,” Martindale said. “Maneuvering three or four smaller pieces into a small bathroom for remodel is considerably easier than trying to bend a big ‘U’ shaped piece in – so it is quite advantageous.”
Three of the four new kits are configured for showers. The three kits feature 90-degree neo-angular, rectangular, and 45-degree neo-angular designs. The last kit is for bathtub installations.
Each kit comes with the appropriate corner piece(s) and corresponding panels. The panels can be trimmed to size and installed by adhering the corners in place and slipping panel edges into corner flanges.
