InterMotive Vehicle Controls, an electronic control systems supplier, created an engine product made to charge RV batteries when parked.
The Auburn, California-based company said it made the product, eVolution, with Type B and C units in mind. eVolution manages OEM and auxiliary battery charging, using customizable conditions to stop and start the engine.
“eVolution is designed to allow customers to enjoy their RV amenities worry-free without constantly having to check if the batteries are getting low,” the company’s President Greg Schafer said.
InterMotive stated the system includes plug-and-play connections to the OEM chassis. The product also includes a key-out mode that allows the key to be removed from the ignition to provide security. The system can be activated using the OEM key fob from outside the vehicle.
eVolution is available for the RAM ProMaster and Ford Transit chassis.
InterMotive provides commercial safety and performance optimization products, specializing in custom solutions for the RV, work truck, law enforcement, school bus, transit and mobility industries.
