A New Jersey-based inventor with trucking industry and driver training experience created a guide to aid drivers backing into a dock.
The patent-pending invention increases visibility and safety for drivers who put a vehicle in reverse to align with a dock.
“I am very well aware of the difficulties involved with reversing tractor-trailers to docks at warehouses and businesses without any guidelines painted on the ground,” the inventor said. “My design helps avoid any confusion, guesswork or repeated attempts to align the rear of the trailer with the dock.”
The guide is called Dockaligner. InventHelp said the invention featured a highly visible, durable, portable, compact and lightweight design.
The original design was submitted to the New Jersey sales office of InventHelp. It is available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
