Jaeger-UniTek Sealing Solutions, Inc. introduced its new StyleCap corner seal cover.
StyleCap is adhesive-backed and made to securely and repeatedly seal RV slide-out rooms. StyleCap, the newest component of Jaeger-UniTek’s full-package Flip ‘N Seal slide-out system, will be launched on new 2024 models.
Colton Phelan, vice president of sales, said Flip ‘N Seal’s success led to StyleCap. StyleCap combines a seamless finish with enhanced sealing at slide-out corners, meeting the demand for improved consumer styling and superior sealing performance.
“It is common for OEMs to use silicone to seal where the top and side wipes meet,” Phelan said. “However, our StyleCap eliminates that need. The StyleCap achieves this by securely adhering to the RV body while uniquely connecting to the Flip ‘N Seal slide-out seal.”
Kyle Upp, the company’s RV market manager and a StyleCap project leader, said, “Where your top wipe and side wipe meet in the corner, the StyleCap adheres and not only adds layer of protection but also creates a ‘finished-look’ to your slide-out rooms.”
Jaeger-UniTek spent years solving sealing issues in the automotive industry. Chief Technology Officer Ray Young said those experiences led to the company’s RV slide-out seals breakthroughs.
“We have incorporated our automotive sealing knowledge into our RV full package slide-out system,” Young said, “and are very pleased to introduce the newest member of our Flip ‘N Seal slide-out sealing inventions to our valued RV customers.”
Jason Cackley, Jaeger-UniTek’s lead application engineer, said the company’s automotive-grade materials and experience made the company confident its Flip ‘N Seal full package will deliver warranty-free slide outs and lower an RV’s total ownership cost.
