Jason Lippert Welcomes Competition

A picture of Lippert President and CEO Jason Lippert

Lippert President and CEO Jason Lippert has spent three decades with the company. Over his time, he said he has seen competitors come and go. Hearing investor community whispers about his company losing market share does not shake his confidence.

“Competition is part of what we do,” Jason Lippert said Tuesday in announcing 2023 financial results.

Responding to questions about Lippert losing market share, Jason Lippert directly addressed competitors.

“We have a diversification strategy which allows us to do some things that we could not do five to 10 years ago,” he said. “If you are pointing specifically to Airxcel, I would say we are taking double-digit market share increases against that business in the last two years.”

Jason Lippert also addressed reports of the company losing market share in its axle business.

“Yes, we have lost a little bit of axles on the Forest River side of our business,” he said, “but axles in general is a small part of our business. We won a million axles this year. Axles was one of the biggest gainers in 2023. … We were down 50% in other RV products. We were flat in axles, even though we lost a little bit of market share. I just say, we are going to continue to compete.”

  • Editor’s Note: The story has been updated to say Lippert is take double-digit market share increases against that business in the last two years, rather than double-digit margin increases in market share.
