Jayco conducted a public unveiling of its newly renovated customer service facility in Middlebury, Indiana, on June 13.
The event included a luncheon for the entire customer service, warranty, technical service, parts and executive teams. A fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Middlebury, Indiana, followed the luncheon. Attendees who donated to the organization were able to throw pies at Jayco executives. Among the executives taking the pies were President and CEO Ken Walters; Steve Claude, vice president of customer service; Brett Hummer, general counsel; and other managers and directors.
The goal was set to raise at least $2,500 and the Jayco executive team committed to match the contributions dollar for dollar. Representative from the Boys & Girls Club of both Middlebury and Elkhart County were in attendance, along with children who attend the local club.
Among the facility’s notable additions is a new conference room. The lobby features a large monitor displaying Jayco’s family of brands and a refreshment area with coffee, refrigerator, microwave, TV and game center.
A standout renovation feature is a large 3-D timeline displaying Jayco’s history and celebrating its milestones since its 1968 founding.
Claude said, “We wanted to create an inviting space that communicates our heritage, values, mission, and vision. It is all about making our customers feel at home, as part of the Jayco family.”
The building renovation is part of continued Jayco efforts to improve its repair event cycle time (RECT). Claude said the company wants consumers to spend more time enjoying their RVs and less time waiting for repairs.
“Our goal is to ensure quick, efficient service,” he said, “so that customers can get back to exploring and enjoying their RV lifestyle.”
