During Jayco’s 2023 Dealer Homecoming event in Las Vegas, the RV manufacturer presented its most prestigious award, the Founders Award, to Terrytown RV of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The awards ceremony was held at the Venetian Resort, with over 500 Jayco team members and dealers attending.
The Founders Award was established in 2002. The award recognizes a dealership whose ownership and management consistently reflect a dedication to outstanding sales and customer support and who, over an extended period of time, demonstrated a loyalty and commitment to Jayco, whose professional operations have brought credit to Jayco and the RV industry and which embodies the spirit of the Jayco founders.
The award was presented to Tom, Connie and Gabrielle Selvius by Jayco executives Ken Walters, president and CEO; Nic Martin, vice president of sales; Brad Whitehead, general manager of towables; and Ryan Eash, general manager of motorized.
Tom Selvius opened Terrytown in 1973. In the 1990s, the dealership was named World’s Largest Jayco Dealer for five of decade’s 10 years. Today the business features a 207,000-square-foot indoor showroom covering up to 210 RVs.
Tom Selvius addressed the crowd after the award presentation.
Walters said: “Tom, the Selvius family and everyone in the Terrytown organization have been fantastic partners for decades. They are truly deserving of this award and embody every bit of what it stands for.”
Jayco said its 2024 Jayco Dealer Homecoming will return to the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas from July 21-24.
