Jayco is hosting RV Technical Institute (RVTI) Level 3 Specialty training for its Entegra Coach, Highland Ridge RV, Jayco and Starcraft RV brands.
Level 3 training focuses on specific RV systems. Jayco’s vendors will provide training in all five specialty areas technicians may pursue: appliances, chassis, electrical, electronics and slide outs.
Jayco’s school includes 36 training hours, 29.5 of which are RVTI certified training hours and count toward a service technician’s Level 3 certification. Jayco will offer 34 RVTI certified hours in 2025.
RVTI Senior Manager of Recruiting Justin Rickett said, “The recent approval of their Jayco Service School training offers a unique opportunity for certified RVTI technicians to receive credit hours covering several Level 3 specialties in one class. We are excited about this approval and appreciate their partnership with RVTI.”
Training hours include a two-hour plant tour in the manufacturer’s Middlebury, Indiana, or Twin Falls, Idaho, locations.
Certified Level 3 technicians can perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on specialized systems and components.
To qualify for Level 3 training, students must pass Level 1 and 2 written and skill-based exams. Participants must attend and pass an approved number of training hours for each specialty category within five years. Level 3 certification is valid for five years, during which students must acquire 24 hours of continuing education credits (CEUs) of approved hands-on or online training. Eight of the 24 hours must be related to the specialty area.
