Leadership shifts are underway at Kampgrounds of America (KOA). Mark Lemoine accepted the association’s position as senior vice president, franchise operations.
Since 2016, Lemoine has owned and operated the Coloma/St. Joseph KOA Holiday in southwest Michigan. He founded a 20 Group, participated in the KOA Owners Association and serves on the Care Camps Foundation board of directors.
Before owning his franchise, Lemoine spent 30 years in government affairs and business consulting.
KOA President and CEO Toby O’Rourke said, “Mark is well respected in our system and the broader industry. His leadership will help cement the critical partnerships between corporate and the franchise system which makes KOA so successful.”
He has been the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber Chairman for the past four years. KOA said his close proximity to Elkhart, Indiana, benefits KOA’s relationships with the RV industry.
Lemoine said, “It has been an incredible journey filled with faith, risk, hard work and the reward of serving our guests. I am honored to have demonstrated that the American Dream is alive and well, and to now have the opportunity to contribute to the growth, innovation and success of my fellow KOA franchisees.”
KOA Chief Operations Officer Darin Uselman will step down at year’s end to pursue ministry. Uselman oversees franchise operations in addition to the operations development of the association’s owned portfolio.
No leadership appointments have been made to the owned side of the business.
O’Rourke said, “Darin has been a critical contributor to our business. I am grateful to have partnered with him these past seven years We are a better company because of his leadership.”
