Lazydays executives said the dealership group has all but finished selling through its 2022 model year RVs as of June 30.
Chief Financial Officer Kelly Porter said the company ended the second quarter with less than 5% of its inventory as 2022 model-year RVs. Porter said the company had a 180-day new vehicle inventory supply, down 27 days from the first quarter of 2023. Lazydays’ used RV inventory has 83 days of supply, up six days from the first quarter of 2023.
CEO John North said: “I think, in short, we have done a good job of being ahead of getting through the 2022s. We are down to 100-and-some units, I think. So that is pretty much behind us.”
North said the company has a few hundred 2024 models on dealers’ lots now. Lazydays is starting to prioritize discounting and OEM partnering to keep sales momentum moving, North said.
North also discussed the company’s new Airstream-exclusive store in Monticello, Minnesota. Lazydays’ Ramsey, Minnesota, location previously sold Airstream, along with other brands, in a store of comparable size and scale to the Monticello location. North said leadership decided to offer Airstream an exclusive location.
“Airstream has a handful of these superstores, I will call them,” North said. “They do significant volume in the 300 to 400 range. We were able to partner with Airstream. I think we were able to increase our allocation a little bit there, and more importantly, create a really immersive experience for that customer.”
An Airstream campground is located about 20 minutes from the exclusive store, containing about 150 spots dedicated to Airstream consumers.
“We think it is going to be a really powerful partnership, and we are really excited to grow with Airstream,” North said. “Frankly, I think they are excited to have another stand-alone dealership to represent Minneapolis and in the broader state of Minnesota.”
