Emco Industries, a leaf springs supplier to industries including the RV industry, hired Marcus Hester as the company’s vice president.

Hester has 22 years of experience in sales and marketing and a background in business development and marketing expansion.

Emco Industries said Hester would lead the company’s efforts to grow its heavy-duty trailer market business.

Emco Industries President Tyler Jones said: “We are very excited to have Marcus join our team and are pleased to have someone of his caliber and with his background to help us navigate our advancements into new markets. As Marcus brings his extensive background in managing targeted sales initiatives to Emco’s existing capabilities, we think the opportunities for growth in key strategic markets will be significant.”

Hester will help manage and sustain growth in Emco’s existing agricultural, light-and medium-duty trailer and specialty vehicle suspension markets, as well as its rotary cutting blade business. He will lead business development initiatives in the heavy-duty trailer market, particularly focusing on 22,500-pound axle leaf spring capacities.

“The marketplace has clearly communicated to us that it needs another competitive domestic leaf spring manufacturer,” Jones said. “Now, with Marcus and our 30 years of experience manufacturing in the heartland of America, we are just the folks to deliver.”

Hester will be stationed at the company’s home offices in Claremore, Oklahoma. He has served two terms on the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers’ (NATM) board of directors as well as serving on numerous committees. He is the current chair of NATM’s membership committee.
